Merry Christmas!

We have the same routine for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day every year. It's very busy, but so much fun. I think I appreciated it a lot more this year knowing that we will be living in either Dallas or New York by next year (as many of you already know, Trent's job is in Dallas now and he commutes there every week). Hopefully we'll still be coming back here for Christmas though. Anyway, we went to my parents' house on Christmas Eve and the kids got to open one gift. Then we went to the Wagstaffs' annual Christmas Eve party at Trent's parents' house where Santa brought a gift for all the kids. On Christmas morning, Luke came in our room at 5 am asking if he could go downstairs and see if Santa came. Fortunately I was able to get him to go back to sleep for another hour. It was so much fun to see how excited he was! After we opened all our presents we headed back to Trent's parents' house to open gifts with them and eat breakfast, then over to my parents' house for more gifts and lunch (and a few naps!). Then we topped it off with dinner (and more gifts again) at Trent's aunt and uncle's house. The kids were so exhausted that they both fell asleep in the car on the way home and then Luke came in our room at 4 am asking if he could go downstairs and play with his new toys!

Santa comes to the Wagstaffs house every year. The kids love it. When Santa asked Luke if he'd been good, Luke got a worried look on his face. But then Santa pulled out a candy cane for him (instead of reindoor poop....in the form of mini marshmallows). Then Luke exclaimed, "See! I told you I've been good, mom!!"
Whitney refused to sit on Santa's lap, but she was more than happy to take her gift and candy cane! She probably should have gotten reindeer poop! Santa must not have checked his naughty and nice list very closely this year! :)
Whitney got a kitchen for Christmas and she loves it! Her second favorite is probably her Handy Manny doll and tools.
Luke had been asking for a remote control motorcycle for months...not sure why. But to prove that Santa is real and answers childrens' letters, Santa obliged and brought a remote control motorcycle that easily tips over and is very difficult even for adults to drive! Luke loves it, but his favorite gift was one he didn't ask for...a giant racetrack that takes up half the room but is loads of fun for him and his friends.

What would Christmas be without a good old fashioned brotherly wrestling match?

Carrie,
Your Christmas looked like so much fun! I never thought I would meet someone who had such a crazy Christmas schedule and we did. It gets crazy hopping back and forth from families.. but it is still so much fun!
I can't believe you are moving. Wow!
You have a darling family and you look as cute as ever. Hope to see you soon.

Looks like you had a great Christmas! I'm jealous of you guys moving, especially to Texas! It'll be nice and warm there. You won't want to come back for Christmas! :) It's great to see the picture of Lesley. I haven't seen her forever. I need to hook up with her sometime.
